API Foundations
Learn what an API is by calling real ones. Covers requests, JSON responses, API keys, GET and POST, and error codes, with a live call for every concept.
Learn to call, read, secure and build with REST APIs. The starting point for students and developers new to APIs.
Students and developers making their first real API integrations. Three courses, taken in order; finish one and its badge is yours, finish all three and the exam is waiting at the end.
Learn what an API is by calling real ones. Covers requests, JSON responses, API keys, GET and POST, and error codes, with a live call for every concept.
Write API code you can ship in JavaScript and Python, with timeouts, retries, safely stored keys, caching and credit budgets.
Five small projects that each solve a real problem: a signup gate, a weather widget, a currency converter, a QR code generator and a multi-API pipeline.
30 questions in 45 minutes, some of them hands-on with real API requests. Pass with 700 out of 1000 and get a credential anyone can verify.
Each course is one skill area, 10 questions each, drawn fresh for every attempt.

Most are multiple choice: a scenario, a snippet of code or a response, and four options. A few are hands-on: the exam shows you a real API request, you run it, and type the value from the live response. Those runs are free and don't use your credits.
A hands-on answer counts only if you ran its request during the exam. Running the call is the skill being measured.
You have 45 minutes from the moment you start. The lessons and the docs are fair game, which is how you'll work on the job anyway.
Scores are out of 1000 and 700 passes. Pass or fail, you get a report of how you did in each skill area, saved to your account to print or keep as a PDF.
If you don't pass, you can retake the exam after 24 hours. After two attempts in a row without a pass, the next one opens after 7 days.
Pass and you're issued a credential ID with a public verification page, one-click LinkedIn and a shareable transcript. Fundamentals credentials don't expire.
Each one is its own three-course path and exam.
