How it works

From first request to verified credential

Try a lesson

Make your first API call, right here.

This is the first exercise from APV-100, exactly as it appears in the lesson. No setup and nothing to install.

  1. Look at the request: a URL, a parameter and your key.
  2. Run it, or read the real response it returns.
  3. Answer the check underneath.
Try it liveNumber to Words1 credit
GEThttps://api.apiverve.com/v1/numbertowords
curl "https://api.apiverve.com/v1/numbertowords?number=4021" \
  -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY"
Sign in or create a free account to run this with your own key.

Look at data.words, then try a decimal such as 12.5 and watch afterDecimal change.

Check yourself

You call an APIVerve API and the response has "status": "error". Where do you look to find out what went wrong?

Is the Academy free?
Yes. Every course, practice question, exam and certificate is free. The live calls in the lessons run on your own APIVerve key, and the free plan's monthly credits cover a full certification path.
Which certification should I start with?
APV-100, the API Developer Fundamentals certification, if you're new to APIs. If you already call APIs from code, go straight to the Associate certification that matches your work: verification, web data, AI agents or documents. Once you run integrations in production, APV-300 Production Integrations is next, then APV-400 Solutions Architecture.
What does a certification prove?
That you can do the work, not just describe it. Every exam includes hands-on questions: you run real requests and answer from the live responses, and those answers only count if you actually ran the request. The Advanced and Expert exams also ask you to write short JavaScript functions, which are graded against hidden tests.
How do employers check a certificate?
Every certificate has a credential ID. Enter it in the box at the top of this page, or open the verification link on the certificate, to see the holder, the certification and the date it was issued.
What if I don't pass?
You get a score report by course, so you know what to review. You can retake an exam 24 hours later; after two attempts in a row, the next opens after 7 days.
Can I use the Academy in a class?
Yes. Lessons are free to assign, every exercise runs on each student's own free key, and the certifications give students something verifiable to put on a résumé. Get in touch if you'd like to use it with a course.

Your first call takes a minute. Create a free key and every lesson runs live.
